Custom Art Framing

Picture House Gallery includes a comprehensive array of frames to properly present your art.

Full service custom framing at Picture House Gallery in Charlotte offers a selection of more than 2600 moldings and such special artistic services as French matting, hand-gilded and hand-carved frames, and 14-karat white gold or 23-karat gold frames. We also create custom designed plexiglass boxing and shadow boxing. Period framing ensures that older art pieces are properly housed in a frame corresponding to the appropriate era.

ART RESTORATION

Picture House Gallery can restore your older fine oil paintings to their original beauty. This may include relining deteriorated canvas edges with beeswax, meticulously cleaning off all varnish in square-inch increments, then revarnishing without changing the pigment, preserving all that the original artist wanted you to see.

In addition, we can also perform paper restoration for old documents, as well as silk fabric refurbishing.

We also restore frames. This may include regilding or gold-leafing, plus remolding (the corners) and reconstruction.
